Aziz Ansari scores Netflix' next original comedy series

Netflix is plunging further into original comedy with a yet-to-be-titled series from Aziz Ansari, Mashable has learned.

What is it about, exactly? That part is still murky, although the project has been gestating for several months — so here's guessing they have a pretty good idea.

Here's what we know: The show will be filmed in New York, with Parks and Recreation co-creator Michael Schur and Alan Yang onboard as an executive producer with Dave Becky and David Milner

Co-stars will include Jon Benjamin, Lena Waithe, Eric Wareheim, Noel Wells and Kelvin Yu — not a collection of stars by any means, but definitely a collection of friends of Ansari's, whose life the show will be largely based upon. Read more...
