Stephen Colbert dedicated an entire segment of his show Thursday night to Yo, a new app that received a tremendous amount of press coverage this week after it reportedly received $1 million in funding just to let users send the word "yo" to each other

"Now when I first learned about an app that boils down all your communication into two letters, I expressed myself in one: 'y.' But I joined the yo-th movement when I read that the company boasts that it takes 11 taps to send the word 'yo' on a rival messaging service compared to just two on their app," Colbert said.
