Starbucks' College Plan: Not as Good as We Thought, But Still Pretty Good

Starbucks is known as something of an aberration in the service industry, providing benefits like health care and stock options to even its part-time employees.

So when a New York Times report that the company was also going to begin covering its baristas' tuition for online classes at Arizona State University broke, it was believable. A variety of media outlets, including Mashable, picked up the story.
