Steve Jobs did not like styluses. When he introduced the iPhone in 2007, he called the finger “the best pointing device in the world.”

"Who wants stylus?" the late Apple CEO and founder famously said, "You have to get them and put them away. You lose them. Yuck! Nobody wants a stylus."

Today, styluses (sometimes "styli") designed and sold by other manufacturers sit inside the Apple store, adjacent to both Jobs’ iPhone and the iPad.
