Season 1 of FX's Fargo wrapped up a stellar run Tuesday night and, um, let's just say there was a lot of blood. But what else did you expect?

1. Police Chief Bill Oswalt resigns

Fed up with the string of crimes that have hit the once innocent and sleepy town he loved, Bob Odenkirk's jaded police chief, confesses to Molly (Allison Tolman) that he's leaving the police department. In explaining his decision, the longtime lawman laments, "I used to have positive opinions about the world — about people. I used to think the best. Now? I'm looking over my shoulder. An unquiet mind — that's what the wife calls it....I never wanted to be the type to think big thoughts about the nature of things. All I ever wanted was a stack of pancakes and a V8."
