George R.R. Martin Throws Out First Pitch in Baseball Game, Kills It

In a twist worthy of A Song of Ice and Fire itself, Game of Thrones' creator George R.R. Martin threw out the first pitch in a minor league baseball game.

At a Albuquerque Isotopes game this past weekend, Martin donned his best set of suspenders and a New York Mets cap for baseball's highest honor — probably even higher than being Hand of the King. The celebrated author was announced to the iconic GoT theme song while his title card read "author/screenwriter." (They seem to have forgotten his roles as "life ruiner" and "worst wedding planner in history."
