The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate a remark made by an air-traffic controller that diverted a Delta flight, the agency announced Monday.

"An air-traffic controller instructed the pilot to make a missed approach, then quickly canceled that clearance and re-cleared him to land," according to the statement.
