Dave Chappelle Never Quit His Show: 'I'm Seven Years Late for Work'

It's been a decade since Dave Chappelle sat on David Letterman's couch, but that streak ends tonight when the comedian appears on Late Night and opens up — kinda — about his abrupt departure from his Comedy Central cult hit series in 2005.

"I don't talk about it," the comedian says in a preview clip for the interview. "Listen, here it is: Technically, I never quit. I'm seven years late for work."

Chappelle's Show ran from 2003 until 2006, when the network aired three episodes from the incomplete third season.
