The 'Legend of Zelda' Is Coming to the Wii U

Nintendo’s next Legend of Zelda game is going to revisit the franchise’s concept of linear storytelling, according to series producer Eiji Aonuma.

Aonuma introduced the next highly anticipated Legend of Zelda game, the first for the Wii U console, in a streaming presentation on Tuesday before the start of the second day of E3.

“In previous games, players could explore a large area,” Aonuma said. “As we moved into a 3D world, the hardware limited that experience.” While teams tried to string closed areas to give players the feeling of freedom, he said, it truly wasn’t a large area. Read more...
