Overlord, Bolero, Gold and Sword — these are just a few of the code names used on June 6, 1944, known as D-Day.
Seventy years after troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, the nation remembers the World War II Allied operation. As is military custom, there were hundreds of code names and nicknames used to carefully plan the invasion.
