There's Already a 'Flappy Bird' Clone in Apple's New Swift Language

It didn't take long for Apple developers to embrace the company's new programming language, Swift. A Flappy Bird clone game has already been created with it.

Apple developer Nate Murray built FlappySwift to show how easy it is to use the programming language. He uploaded the iOS 8-compatible game to GitHub, a forum site for software developers.

The company announced Swift earlier this week at its Worldwide Developers Conference, and its arrival came as a surprise to nearly everyone. It's designed to be more modern and efficient, essentially operating as an alternative to Objective-C, which is Apple's standard language for developing iOS and OS X apps. Read more...
