GM Announces Yet Another Recall

Beleaguered General Motors on Tuesday announced the latest in a string of recent vehicle recalls, this time a 2.4-million notice related to four security flaws.

The recall affects 1,339,355 Chevrolet Traverses, GMC Acadias, Buick Enclaves and Saturn Outlooks, which are subject to a safety lap belt cable glitch that can separate, increasing the risk of injury for front-seat passengers. Two smaller recalls included in this round include 1,402 Cadillac Escalades and Escalade ESVs from the 2015 model year. Airbags in those vehicles could only partially deploy because of an insufficiently heated plastic weld attached to the passenger-side airbag.
