Dashlane Raises $22 Million to Manage Passwords in Post-Heartbleed World

Big money is flowing into the password security space.

Dashlane, a five-year-old password management service, announced Monday that it has raised a $22 million Series B round of funding, bringing the startup's total funding to date to $30 million.

The funding round, which Dashlane touts as the largest ever for a password management startup, comes a little more than a month after news of the Heartbleed bug first broke, bringing more mainstream attention to password security.

Dashlane began raising the latest round of funding in late February and, according to CEO Emmanuel Schalit, the startup was "pretty far along in our process" by the time the Heartbleed story came out. Read more...
