Microsoft to Launch a Kinect-Free Xbox One for $100 Cheaper

Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox One to $399 on Tuesday, deciding to sell a version of the console without the Kinect voice and motion control sensor

The cheaper Xbox One represents a shift in strategy for Microsoft, which originally touted the Xbox One's Kinect as an un-severable part of the console's experience

Microsoft made the announcement on its Xbox Wire blog on Tuesday morning. In the post, Xbox head Phil Spencer wrote that the company had listened to the feedback of fans to come to the decision.
