At Least 6 Injured in Shooting at FedEx Facility Near Atlanta

At least six people were injured Tuesday morning in a shooting at a FedEx facility in Kennesaw, Ga., according to multiple reports.

The call first came in at 5:44 a.m. ET, NBC News reports. The facility, which is about 25 miles from Atlanta, was put on lockdown as more than 50 police vehicles arrived on scene. Multiple victims have been taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce tells NBC affiliate WXIA-TV that the male suspect has not yet been identified and remains at large at the facility, which one former employee tells Mashable is “a warehouse facility where FedEx trucks would dock in.” Another former employee says there are maybe 200 or less people working per shift and everyone gets along. “It’s a nice work place which is why this is shocking,” she said.
