Darth Vader Is Now Running for President in Ukraine, Sort Of

Imperial leader Darth Vader — or at least his closest Earth-based facsimile — is joining the crowded Ukrainian presidential race as a representative of the country's "Internet party," according to a new report.

This Darth Vader has been a popular protester in Kiev, and has participated in several marches over the last few months in Independence Square. He represents the theatrical, but very real, Ukraine Internet Party.

Last November, Vader was carried by his Stormtroopers to Odessa City Hall in Odessa, Ukraine, where he declared himself mayor. The incident can be seen in the YouTube clip, below. He also ran for a parliamentary seat in 2012, winning 3% of the write-in vote, which was thrown out by election officials. Read more...
