Online Journalism Is Growing, But That Doesn't Mean Much

The emergence of digital native media outlets and continued growth in online video has not yet drastically changed the face of the U.S. news media.

Nearly one third of U.S. adults, including nearly half of people aged 18-49, watch online news video, according to the 2014 State of the News Media study from the Pew Research Center.

The rise in popularity of online video news coincides with the headcount growth around digital news ventures, which have added almost 5,000 full-time jobs in the last few years as newspapers have continued to cut back on employees. Read more...
