Derek Jeter Says He Will Retire After the 2014 Season

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter intends to retire after the 2014 season.

The 13-time All Star and five-time World Series champion made the announcement in a message posted to his Facebook page Wednesday afternoon

"And the thing is, I could not be more sure. I know it in my heart," Jeter wrote. "The 2014 season will be my last year playing professional baseball."
