Gmail Slowly Comes Back After Major Outage

Gmail went down Friday afternoon, frustrating millions of users. The outage is also affecting other Google services such as Hangouts as well.

Google's apps dashboard initially showed all Google services in the green, but it was updated at around 2:20 p.m. to show a service disruption for Gmail. Gmail stopped working on both web and mobile as well as third-party clients such as Apple Mail, suggesting that the entire back-end (IMAP) service is affected.

The outage appears to be worldwide, and it's affecting other Google services as well. Hangouts aren't working, and neither is Google+. Some Google Drive users were reporting connection issues.
