The Best Way to Reenact the Titanic Is at a Chinese Theme Park

If you ever wanted to reenact the love story of James Cameron's The Titanic, now's your chance

A Chinese investment firm plans to create a full-scale replica of the Titanic ship at a theme park in China by 2016.

The estimated 1 billion yuan ($165 million) replica will take residence at a theme park in Daying County, Sichuan Province. The star attraction, along with a museum dedicated to the tragedy, will be a replica of the ship simulating the infamous iceberg collision.

Seven Star Energy Investment will use the blueprints of the Titanic’s sister ship, the Olympic, to construct its replica in a shipyard in the Hubei Province. Once complete, the replica will be permanently docked in the theme park on the Qi River, according to the South China Morning Post. Read more...
