Unofficial 'Downton Abbey' Legos Are a Masterpiece of Brick Theater

Clashing class statuses and 18th century British aristocracy: Just what every little kid hopes to find when they open up a box of Legos!

Well, maybe not so much for little kids, but superfans of the BBC drama will be pleased to see the Crawleys and (almost) all of the Downton Abbey cast translated into the miniature counterparts.

Lego enthusiast Eric Stevens created the unofficial figures and spoke with Mashable to discuss his process.

"For the men, I used some of the alternate costumes," Stevens explained, "rather than repeat the same tuxedo." The women, however, were more difficult as Lego has never done any figurines from that time period. So Stevens used inventive creativity to piece the minifigures together from various sets, including Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia, Harry Potter and Star Wars. Read more...
