Christie: 'Mistakes Were Clearly Made'

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie delivered his annual state of the state address Tuesday in his first public appearance since his 107-minute damage-control press conference last week on the now-infamous bridge scandal.

Before he got to the meat of his speech, in which he addressed lowering property taxes, boosting the state's focus on education and eliminating crime, he addressed what was on everyone's mind.

"The last week has certainly tested this Administration," Christie said. "Mistakes were clearly made. And as a result, we let down the people we are entrusted to serve. I know our citizens deserve better. Much better. I am the governor and I am ultimately responsible for all that happens on my watch - both good and bad." Read more...
