Ex-Mafia Boss in Reddit AMA: 'I'm Not Proud of My Past'

Michael Franzese has defrauded governments out of hundreds of millions of dollars and spent years in prison and, on Wednesday, the once-notorious mafia boss made the Internet an offer it couldn't refuse when he typed those now-famous three words on Reddit: "Ask me anything."

After pleading guilty to racketeering and tax fraud, Franzese was in and out of prison between 1986 and 1994. During that time, he renounced his ties to the mafia and became a born-again Christian. The former "made boss" for New York's Columbo crime family then did the unthinkable, when he voluntarily walked away from his life of crime in the early 1990s. Read more...
