Nest Says Shut-Off Heat Not Its Fault, But Pushes Thermostat Update To Fix 4.0 Problems

Nest ColdNest is scrambling to fix a faulty firmware update that is causing customers' thermostats to malfunction, turning off or down their heat in the dead of winter. Nest has acknowledged the bug and is trying to roll people back to the more reliable 3.5.3 update, but it hasn't fessed up to people's heat shutting off, and customers are reporting extremely long or endless support line wait times.
