How You Can Visit the White House Without Coming to Washington

The vast majority of tourists aren't allowed the black picket fence bordering the massive lawn of the White House. But now, anyone take a look inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. without even coming to Washington, D.C.

The White House and the Discovery Channel launched a series of virtual "field trips" aimed at middle school and high school students that explore different facets of the mansion. Classrooms can register as a unit on Discovery's website, and each tour will be broadcast live before it is archived there.
