Google Glass Upgrade Arrives Just in Time for New Year's

Google is ready to send the upgraded version of Google Glass starting the week of Dec. 30, according to an email Mashable received from the Glass Explorer program.

Google gave owners of Google Glass a one-time option to trade in their old Glass units and upgrade to the new model in November. If you agreed, Google said it would reserve a spot "in line" for the upgrade, with an email to follow when it's ready.

It appears that time is now. The new model seems identical to the old one and is available in the same colors, although it's faster and more durable. Users will also be able to easily adapt the new model with "upcoming" prescription frames (presumably designed specifically for Glass). Read more...
