Whether ordering a gift online for the holidays, a wedding registry or birthday, there's really no good way to see how a recipient receives the package. What does the bow you're paying a dollar extra for look like anyway?

Customer service ratings firm StellaService tried 27 popular retailers and analyzed the gift wrapped package offerings. It turns out Neiman Marcus had the priciest gift wrap option ($7.50), but free wrapping came with online orders from Barneys, Brook Brothers, Coach, Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch — and many of these gratis options were just as nice as their pricier counterparts.
