Xbox One Launch Party Glows Green With Super Fans

Microsoft invited a thousand super fans to join the company Thursday night as it launched the Xbox One in New York City's Times Square.

The first 1,000 fans that lined up to pre-purchase an Xbox One from Best Buy were let into the Best Buy Theater around 9:30 p.m. They were treated to Xbox One game demos, signings by developers and a concert by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

The event also featured zombies and Roman Centurions in costume, pulled from Xbox One launch games Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3.

At midnight onstage, Xbox's Major Nelson and Xbox Vice President of Product Marc Whitten handed consoles to the first 10 people in line. Experience all of the action from the event in the above gallery. Read more...
