Report: Lenovo Interested in Buying Parts of BlackBerry

Lenovo is examining BlackBerry's books, but it isn't interested in buying the whole company, just parts of it, according to Reuters.

The report, which hit the wire Thursday night, is at odds with an earlier Wall Street Journal article that stated Lenovo was considering a bid for the whole company. Reps from Lenovo and BlackBerry could not be reached for comment on the reports.

Assuming the reports are accurate, Lenovo would join a queue of companies including SAP, Cisco Systems and Samsung that are said to be interested in purchasing components of the beleaguered BlackBerry.
