Hulu Names Fox's Mike Hopkins as CEO

Hulu board member Mike Hopkins is the new CEO of the streaming video company, the company announced Thursday. Andy Forssell, who has served as acting CEO since founder Jason Kilar departed in March, is leaving the company.

Hopkins has been a member of Hulu's board since 2011. Most recently, he served as president of distribution for Fox Networks Group, a division of 21st Century Fox, a position he has held since 2008. As head of distribution at Fox, Hopkins oversaw the collection of programming fees from broadcast affiliates and pay TV systems. He was also responsible for obtaining distribution for Fox Sports 1.
