Google Glass App Lets You Pay With Bitcoins — and Skip the Line

Two of the most-hyped technologies of 2013 merged this week with the introduction of GlassPay, a Google Glass app that lets you pay with Bitcoins.

The app, from RedBottle Design, lets consumers scan a UPC of a product in store, assemble a virtual shopping cart and then complete payment with Bitcoins. After that, they can leave the store without waiting on the checkout line

In its pitch to retailers, RedBottle explained that the app will let them service more customers more quickly and more easily track the sales of in-store items. Using Bitcoins, rather than a credit card, will also mean no extra transaction fees. Read more...
