Apple's 'Spaceship' Campus Is Definitely Coming to Cupertino

Apple won the approval of the Cupertino City Council on Tuesday to move ahead with plans to create its new "spaceship" headquarters.

The Cupertino, Calif.-based company presented a 3D model of the proposed campus before the city, which unanimously approved its planning application two years after Steve Jobs announced the construction plans at a town hall meeting in June 2011.

The Cupertino City Council will meet again on Nov. 15 for one final vote, but the San Jose Mercury News calls this a formality.
