Ted Cruz Said These Words Most During His 'Filibuster'

Sen. Ted Cruz just had a bonding experience with the English language.

The Republican from Texas held the U.S. Senate floor for more than 21 hours straight, from about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday until Wednesday at noon. During his anti-Obamacare speech, the word Cruz said more than any other was — drumroll please — "people."

"Obamacare" won the silver medal with more than 500 mentions, compared to more than 600 for "people." The phrase "green eggs and ham" won a consolation prize with 19 mentions.

Though it's debatable whether or not Cruz's speech can be considered a true filibuster, one thing we can say is that the verbose senator doesn't seem to think the Affordable Care Act, commonly called "Obamacare," is the right choice for the American people. Read more...
