'Angry Birds Star Wars II': Welcome to the Dark Side

Rovio invites fans to come to the "pork side" with a new trailer for the upcoming Angry Birds Star Wars II game, featuring the voice of Ian McDiarmid — aka Emperor Palpatine.

The game gives players their first opportunity to play on the dark side — I mean, pork side — meaning players can fire pigs instead of birds from the slingshot while appropriately dressed in Imperial GearAngry Birds Star Wars II will be available Sept. 19 on iOS, Google Play, Amazon and Windows 8 Phones for 99 cents.

Hasbro previously revealed it will release a line of 30 toys (physical ones, not digital) to tie in with Angry Birds Star Wars II. These "telepods" will have their own play sets, but each can be scanned by phone or tablet camera and immediately added as a playable character in the game. Read more...
