With Field Trip App, Google Glass Is a Virtual Tour Guide

Google's Field Trip app launched on Google Glass Wednesday.

Field Trip, designed to help you learn more about the world around you, initially launched in September 2012. The app is already available for Android and iOS, but will perhaps be most useful on Glass, due in part to the way Glass delivers notifications.

Cards appear within the Field Trip app when you’re near a point of interest. On Android and iOS, those alerts appear on your smartphone screen; with Glass, they appear in the form of a notification and card right in front of your face. Read more...
