1. Lady Gaga Releases Art for "Applause" Single

Lady Gaga's anticipated musical comeback gained steam Sunday as the 27-year-old pop star made several announcements on social media, including unveiling the artwork for her upcoming single "Applause."

Gaga will perform the single, which is available for purchase on iTunes starting Aug. 19, for the first time during MTV's Video Music Awards on Aug. 25.
