Teen Arrested for 'Terroristic' Facebook Comment Free on Bond

A Texas teenager charged for making a "terroristic" threat on Facebook earlier this year has been released from jail on bail Thursday after an anonymous donor reportedly posted a $500,000 bond.

Back in February, then-18-year-old Justin Carter got into a heated argument on Facebook with a friend, after playing the online game League of Legends. Carter wrote a comment saying he'd "shoot up a school full of kids and eat their still beating hearts," followed by an "lol" and "jk" at the end of the post. A Canadian woman saw the post and called police out of concern that Carter's old address was near an elementary school. The violent comment sent Carter to jail on March 27, following a "terroristic threat" charge and arrest.
