Pesky time zones. Even on Twitter, they can cause some confusion — as perfectly evidenced by the controversy surrounding whether actor Alec Baldwin's pregnant wife, Hilaria, posted a series of tweets while she was at James Gandolfini's funeral on Thursday.

Los Angeles-based reporter George Stark of the Daily Mail reported that 29-year-old Hilaria tweeted about anniversary gifts and retweeted messages from @RachelRayShow during the funeral, which was at New York City's Cathedral of Saint John the Divine

Twitter users quickly criticized Hilaria's manners. Hours later, she defended herself on Twitter — so too did Alec in an obscenity-filled tirade of tweets (he later quit Twitter again)
