Report: Retired General Suspected of Leaking Stuxnet Details

Retired Marine Gen. James Cartwright is under federal investigation for potentially leaking details about the Stuxnet virus to the media, according to a report.

Cartwright recently received a letter from the Department of Justice informing him of the investigation, per NBC News citing "legal sources." The four-star general was vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs from 2007 to 2011, the second-highest position in military brass.

According to an earlier report from the New York Times, Cartwright was the lead figure in the Stuxnet operation (codenamed "Olympic Games"), which began under President George W. Bush and was accelerated by President Barack Obama.
