Paula Deen 'Today' Interview Ends With Tears

Paula Deen, the celebrity cook who has been struggling as of late to survive a career maelstrom over details of a leaked deposition, appeared on Wednesday morning's Today with Matt Lauer for an exclusive interview that ended in tears.

Deen's deposition includes admissions of using the N-word, plans for a Southern plantation-style wedding and other concessions on the fronts of what Deen finds humorous and offensive. (Watch the video above or peruse the 133-page court document below for more background.)

In the wake of the deposition, the queen of Southern cooking was axed by global pork-producing company Smithfield Foods, as well as her TV home, the Food Network. Both entities have noted an intolerance of racial slurs and abusive language as deal breakers.
