Microsoft Makes a Multi-Screen Pitch to Advertisers at Cannes

CANNES, FRANCE — Microsoft is one of the biggest advertising spenders in the world, but the company isn't just an advertiser. It's also a media firm and an enormous one at that.

The software giant attempted to woo advertisers gathered at the Cannes Lions advertising festival with a large installation on the beach that displayed Windows 8's ability to sync across PCs and tablets.
