5 Ways to Spice Up Your NikePlus Experience

Nike showcased its first class of entrepreneurs looking to expand the capabilities of its Nike+ platform, at a demo day event in San Francisco on Thursday.

The Nike+ Accelerator, powered by TechStars, housed 10 startups in Portland, Ore. This accelerator provides startups with $20,000, access to Nike+ APIs/SDKs and access to around 300 mentors.

The idea was for the startups to leverage Nike+ data and NikeFuel in these health, fitness and wellness projectsNikeFuel is Nike's unique currency for measuring how active you are in daily life. Today, Nike says 1 billion NikeFuel points are generated every single day. The company's FuelBand product is a wearable fitness tracker that integrates with the Nike+ platform.
