At Mashable, we follow leaders and innovators in the digital space. As technology is dramatically reshaping the practice and profession of communications, we are looking to identify and recognize the women pushing the barriers and reshaping communications for the digital era.

These are women on the rise: Women who have accomplished a great deal, but whose work is far from finished.

We've teamed up with New York Women in Communications to bring you the first
annual WiCi Awards, created to recognize rising stars in communications and their career achievements.

The WiCi Awards will honor women to watch — ambitious women who have made an impact through their careers and commanded the respect and admiration of their peers. Who would you nominate?
