Yahoo! Discloses Number Of Data Requests From U.S. Law Agencies, Says It Will Issue Transparency Report Soon
Yahoo! is now the latest tech company to disclose the number of government requests for data it has received over the past 18 months, prompted by the fallout from the NSA spying scandal. In a statement co-signed by CEO Marissa Mayer and Yahoo! general counsel Ron Bell, the company said that Yahoo! received 12,000 to 13,000 requests from FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) and U.S. law enforcement agencies during the period between December 1, 2012 and May 31, 2013.Original Link: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Techcrunch/~3/Sw1Sry-u0o0/
