'Mario Kart 8' Adds New Weapons, New Physics, Same Charm

Mario Kart 8 is the next entry into the famous racing franchise, which Nintendo announced at E3 this year

Nintendo displayed the Wii U title at its booth, which both press and fans could play. We spent some time with three different tracks to get a good feel for the game.

Mario Kart 8 adds enough features to keep the franchise fresh, including anti-gravity racing in which tracks can twist 180 degrees and players can race on the ceiling. It also added new power-ups, like the fireball, which can be shot multiple times at any drivers in your path. This is the first time in the series' history for Mario Kart to appear in HD, and it really shows in the beautiful graphics.
