'Arkham Origins' Pits Young Batman Against New Foes

Warner Bros. Interactive pulled back the mask on Batman: Arkham Origins at E3, giving fans more insight into Batman's budding crime-fighting days.

Batman: Arkham Origins is set on Christmas Eve, early in the Dark Knight's career, when he encounters the Black Mask, a villain younger fans of the franchise might be less familiar with. The Black Mask has invited 12 assassins to Gotham to kill Batman for a juicy reward, and other popular villains like the Joker have also come for a piece.

This title builds on the foundation of the other Arkham titles — Arkham Asylum and Arkham City — in which Batman uses a host of gadgets and skills to sneak by or fight through enemies. The title is with a new studio this time, Warner Brothers Games Montreal, but it still has the hallmarks of the franchise.
