Xbox 360 Will Be Supported for 'Years to Come'

LOS ANGELES — Although the Xbox One has been announced and will arrive in November, the Xbox 360 isn't going anywhere. During its E3 press conference Monday, Microsoft announced a new, slimmer look to the Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 will continue to be supported over the next few years and continue to offer benefits to players through Xbox Live, Microsoft SVP of Marketing Yusef Mehdi said. The updated Xbox 360 is on sale starting Monday, Mehdi added.

Additionally, current and new Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download two free games starting July 1. The selection includes games like Assassin's Creed II and Halo 3
