Betapond, the Ireland-headquartered Facebook marketing technology startup, has raised 2 million (~$2.5m) in a new round of funding led by The Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund -- money it plans to use to "accelerate development" of its forthcoming social commerce offering to retailers, which will power product recommendations from a consumer's trusted Facebook friends.
