The Social+Capital Founder, early Facebook employee and owner of the Golden State Warriors, Chamath Palihapitiya, joined us onstage at Disrupt NYand gave some brutally honest answers to questions as to why we’re seeing a lull in innovation. I had a chance to talk to Palihapitiyaback stage and we dove deeper into the fact that the Valley should “be ashamed of itself” over the lack of new and big ideas. One of the reasons for this is because it’s easier to hack on things that have already been done. It’s safe. Palihapitiyasays it’s time to go back to the drawing board and go big.
