Reddit Under DDoS Attack, Some Site Functions Disabled

Reddit is currently under a malicious DDoS attack, according to the site's official Reddit status account on Twitter

The attack seems to have started early Friday, coinciding with the breaking story about the manhunt for the Boston marathon bombing suspects

We are working on recovering from what appears to be a DDoS.

We've mitigated part of the DDoS at this time. However, certain site functions are disabled.

A source of the attack has not been confirmed, however, a Reddit admin says the attack is performed by "someone with a lot of time and bandwidth on their hands," which would indicate that it's a serious, large-scale attack.
